Geronimo E. K. I. A

Two days after the news of the Osama Bin Laden's death I'm still watching press conferences and briefings about the details of the mission that lead to his death, and what began as jubilation and celebratory chants are quickly becoming apprehension, judgement and conjecture.  I don't get it.  Bin Laden was the worlds most notorious terrorist and people are worried about if he was armed at the time he was killed, if he did in fact resist, and why he wasn't taken alive?  We have over 100,000 US troops in Afghanistan, 1400 Killed in action and 11,000 wounded, and we still have US citizens saying how can we celebrate a man's death.  This man had no compassion for human life and he would have no problem killing an American or any one for that matter.  I have honorably served in the US Military and I am a very proud American.  We were trained to be decision makers, The Navy SEALS that were sent in to that compound Sunday was given a mission.  They were given certain parameters, capture or kill, but ultimately they make the call while on the ground and if the SEAL that took the shot that killed this monster felt as though that was the best course of action, I defy anyone to pass judgement on these brave men.  This is a man that has convinced his followers to conduct suicide bombings with total disregard to human life, so armed or not armed this man was a threat.  What did you want or expect?  Did you want him to be taken alive and brought back to the US to face trial on our dime, using our lawyers which happen to be some of the best in the world?  Justice has been served.  So now we will have to deal with all the conspiracy theories, and the future threats of retaliation and to compound on to that we will have to deal with the ultra sensitive citizens of our own country that live by the "turn the other cheek" mentality.  This fight is far from over, and while I do believe we need to now scale down and pull out of the middle east, we still have many targets that need to be neutralized but it is motivating to know that our main target is out of the way.
